Experience reports from affected companies<\/h3>\n

In her presentation \u201cThe plastic-related areas of tension in the PPWR\u201d, lawyer Elisabeth Moser-Marzi<\/strong> will provide an overview of the requirements and, above all, the challenges for the industry posed by the EU Regulation on packaging and packaging waste.<\/p>\n

In the subsequent presentation, Dominik Stern<\/strong> from the Federation of the Chemical Industry (FCIO) will bring the participants up to date with the latest legal status and discuss current PPWR regulations.<\/p>\n

Exciting best practice examples and situation reports from affected companies will be presented in the subsequent practical section by Katharina Kaltenbrunner<\/strong> from Teufelberger GmbH, Markus Kraft<\/strong> from Hirsch Servo and Stefan Chalupnik<\/strong> from G. Coreth Kunststoffverarbeitungs GmbH.<\/p>\n

Close the Circle IV – Presentation of the CTC Award<\/h3>\n

On October 1, 2024, the CTC Award (details: https:\/\/ghezzo.at\/awards\/close-the-circle-award.html) will once again be presented as part of the Conference on Circular Economy and Water Resources. The CTC Award is an important award for sustainability players – primarily companies and start-ups (in two categories, namely the \u201ccircle closer\u201d and the \u201ccircle enabler\u201d) – on the path to a circular economy.<\/p>\n

I published my first article on climate change (Die Welt verkommt zum Treibhaus) back in the 1980s in MC Report 3\/87.<\/p>\n

As these circumstances have unfortunately proven to be true, we urgently need to make rapid progress in converting our economic system in order to at least mitigate the effects of climate change.<\/p>\n

This summer, with its prevailing heat and water shortages, is a good example of this.<\/p>\n

The CTC Award winners are selected by the jury, of which I am a member. The task of the jury members is to award prizes to projects, products and services that provide particular impetus in terms of sustainability.<\/p>\n

These are circular economy projects that massively conserve resources and promote reuse and, in particular, regeneration. Naturally, issues relating to reducing the use of primary energy sources and resource efficiency are also addressed.<\/p>\n

We reject greenwashing, superficiality and mere showcase programs. They contradict the evaluation criteria.<\/p>\n

Submissions are still possible until 8.9.2024.<\/p>\n

Do not hesitate to bring your projects before the curtain.<\/p>\n
